Mental Health – help for kids, parents and families

If you feel you  need support for your child or family, there are so many great mental health resources in our community.

Whether you have concerns about your child’s behavior, emotional state, struggle with peers, or something just doesn’t seem right, there are resources and places you can turn to for help.

Crossroads Children’s Centre mental health walk-in clinic
• For children up to age 12 and their parents
• Every Wednesday (9 am to noon) and Thursday (noon to 8 p.m., last appointment at 6:30 p.m.)

Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa’s youth mental health walk-in clinic
• For youth ages 12 to 20 and parents
• Every Tuesday and Thursday noon to 8 p.m. (last appointment at 6 p.m.)

Youth Service Bureau’s 24/7 Crisis Line
The 24/7 Crisis Line makes sure that youth in crisis — or anyone concerned about them — can talk to someone who understands and wants to help. Offers supportive listening, crisis counselling, referrals and more, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
