Proposed changes to French instruction

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is proposing the following changes, to be implemented for the 2016-2017 school year:

– Junior Kindergarten (JK) and Senior Kindergarten (SK) classroom instruction to consist of 50% English and 50% French education.

– The introduction of 60 minutes of daily English (as a subject) in Grade 1 Early French Immersion.

– Mathematics to be taught in English from Grades 1 through 12 in all OCDSB schools.

Your feedback is essential to ensure these changes meet the needs of our parents and students.
