Children’s Mental Health Presentation for Parents:

How do you know when your child is having more than just a rough day? Thursday, April 23 6:30 p.m.  Stephen Leacock P.S.  gym

Nearly 1 in 5 Ontario children experiences stress, anxiety or other mental health issues affecting their daily routines at home, school and with their peers. This presentation will help parents feel prepared when they have concerns about their child’s behavior, emotional state, struggle with peers, or when something just doesn’t seem right.

Staff from Crossroads Children’s Centre will:

  • Help parents identify signs for concern
  • Walk parents through the conversations they can have to uncover what is bothering their child
  • Offer tips on how families can make a plan together to deal with the problem or stress
  • Provide information about their drop-in mental health clinic

Guest presentation by Crossroads Children’s Centre  Among its many services, Crossroads offers a free children’s drop-in mental health clinic in Ottawa, every Thursday from noon to 8 p.m.
