Tips for Parent-Teacher Interviews

Parent-Teacher interviews are taking place on Thursday, November 23 & Friday November 24, 2017.  The school board recommended this Tip Sheet for Parents, devised by a non-profit research group called People for Education, to help parents prepare for the interviews.

The Tip Sheet is also available in 13 other languages at the People for Education website.

Volunteers Needed for Family Movie Night, Friday, November 17, 2017.

Volunteers are needed for set-up, admission, snack distribution, hall monitoring, and take-down.  Volunteers will work in  30-60 minute shifts between 5:30pm and 9:00 pm.  If you can help, sign up at SignUp Genius.  Volunteers and their family members receive free admission!

Games Wanted!

The Stephen Leacock PS Games Club is seeking gently used board & card games.  The games must be suitable for children in grades 4 through 6 and should contain all necessary pieces.  They have to be able to play the game in French.  Games can be dropped off at the school office during regular office hours or at the next Council meeting on November 21 at 7:00 pm in the library.

 The Games Club meets once a week, on Thursdays at first recess from November to April.

This is a family event. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the evening.

Please buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment. The gym can only accommodate 250 people, so we will need to limit the number of tickets sold. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Advance tickets for admission & snacks can be purchased through Eventbrite*Admission transactions through Eventbrite are subject to a service fee.

Reminder:  Family Halloween Dance is this Friday, October 27, 2017 at 6:00pm.

Remember, parents must accompany their children; this is not a drop off event!  Also, leave any large costume accessories at home (wands, swords, pitchforks, etc.) and please avoid any very scary costumes, as this is a family event for all ages.
